After the national musuem, I went to the punk musuem in downtown Reykjavik with another Snorri participants. It was created where a public restroom used to be and had funny descriptions of the history of punk music in Iceland. After both musuems, all participants were invited to the house of the Candanian ambassador to socialize. The ambassador had Canadian beers and wines and Icealndic appetizers at her house to enchance the cross cultural experience. The US ambassadors that I had met on Thursday also came as well as the head of the Snorri program.
Finally, I went to the pool Vesturbaejarlaug to relax in the geothermal heated pools and swim some laps. We are all excited to watch the world cup game tomorrow in downtown Reykjavik and celebrate Iceland's accomplishment of qualifying for the cup for the first time!
Here are some photos that I took at the national musuem of traditional costumes, an old model schrooner boat, a device used to tracking the days and more.
Below are some photos of the punk musuem that was set up in an old public restroom.
And here are some photos of Reykjavik! The weather was so nice today! We were getting some sun the past few days and today there was a beautiful view of the mountians past Reykjavik.
